Truffle hunting in the forests of Buzău
The truffle hunt has become one of the most sought-after activities for spending time in nature, as it is a unique experience that comes with the bonus of culinary delights that participants’ taste buds have never tasted before.
The forests of the UNESCO Geopark Buzau proudly host truffle hunting. Being on the same latitude as Piedmont in Italy and benefiting from favourable climatic conditions and abundant forests, the region of Buzau meets all the conditions for the perpetuation of truffles. Truffle hunting requires years of experience, local knowledge and specially trained dogs.
