Miedaria
Mead is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting honey in water using yeast. We, along with a few other meed brewers around the world, took a different view of mead. We look to the future rather than the past, away from the high-alcohol or overly sweet mead. We’ve adapted the taste of mead for a modern palette, turning the world’s oldest drink into a modern-day beverage. Our products contain honey from producers in the Buzăului Valley.
In this way, we try to help them to get the best value for their goods at a good price and without high transportation costs, with a low carbon footprint. By supporting beekeepers in the area we are helping to increase the local economy and the number of hives, and the bees are helping the whole ecosystem.
