Bozioru Stories
Strange Sky
The area over which a “Strange Sky” stretches, which sometimes reaches an intensity that cannot be described in words, is Bozioru commune in Buzau county. Sometimes on clear days, that pure blue of the sky turns into very deep shades, that it seems to become a vortex. The more you look into it, the more you feel as if you are absorbed by infinity. You feel a spell that paralyses all your senses, you can’t hear anything around you.
Numerous tests have been made in the form of a game by dividing them into two groups and placing them on different peaks. The requirement was that through the power of thought different information was transmitted. These telepathic transmissions were at their greatest when the intensity of the sky was at its highest. Through these perceptions it was possible to accurately identify ancient remains in the area, receiving information as if the earth was revealing its mysteries. Coincidentally or not, Bozioru has as its symbol a triangle with a vertical base representing an enigmatic god who solves the secrets of the depths, associated by some researchers as a god of mines. It was as if this god had entered into a connection with the researchers being tested.
The Buzaului Mountains have been included in the sacred geography of the world since ancient times. It is a geography whose coordinates include areas where magnetic anomalies were taking place, places with energetic potential manifesting on the physical and spiritual plane, called by experts “energy-informational perimeters”. Strange phenomena occur in these areas, the body travels in timeless spaces dematerializing, receives telepathic information from unknown entities, and the underground deposits are of great interest. People with extra-sensory perceptions feel very much impassioned by the energetic-informational charge that exists in such sacred geographical areas, of which Romania is full.
The strangest phenomena in the area remain the disappearances of people that take place in two ways, some disappeared and never appeared again, and others disappeared from one place and appeared in another without remembering anything of what happened, as reported by the locals of the area.

Strange Sky
The area referred to in this material is a “Sihastrita” region, which includes the commune of Bozioru, with the village of Fisici, the Nucu Catun, up to beyond the Gotes Lake, an area stretched over ancient peaks, where you can see the geological layers raised almost vertically, as a result of some contortions of the crust that happened in immemorial times. The villages and sparsely populated mounds follow a meandering line over wild ridges, where bears are at home (and bears here are renowned for their ferocity). Over this area stretches an ‘eerie sky’, which at times takes on an intensity that cannot be described in words, which scientists measure in degrees Kelvin, at over 23,000.
For comparison, the azure sky above major cities barely exceeds 16,000 degrees Kelvin. We are lucky enough to see this phenomenon for ourselves. Gradually, the clear sky, that pure blue of the beautiful days, takes on such deep hues that it becomes a vortex. The more you look, the more you feel the infinity engulfing you. It’s like a spell that takes over your whole being and paralyses your senses, you can’t hear anything around you and your pupils dilate. We are brought out of this state by our companions who say to us with a smile: “You have felt the energetic gates of the Universe opening, when your whole being becomes spirit”.
The strangest thing seemed to us to be that we were very close to missing the moment, if it had not been for the attention we would have been drawn to it by being preoccupied with watching our step through the boulders of the pathways.
Secrets from the depths
We realise how easy it is to miss such a phenomenon, being unaccustomed to looking at the sky. Researcher Vasile Rudan tells us that extrasensory tests are most successful when the sky reaches an intensity of over 23,000 degrees Kelvin, the perception being acute. In the 1980s, Vasile Rudan coordinated a group of children to test their extrasensory skills. They were unaware of their special powers, participating in the tests as if they were normal games. They were divided into groups, placed on certain hills and told to transmit different information from one group to another by the power of thought. These telepathic transmissions were very accurate when the sky reached maximum intensity. In addition, they accurately indicated, also through extrasensory perception, places where ancient relics were located, which astonished the archaeologists who had been called in for the experiment.
How did they know? They perceived information as if the earth were revealing its secrets to them. Another strange coincidence with the occult names of Sumerian civilisation should be mentioned here. “Buzur” (Bozioru ), symbolized by a triangle with a vertical base, referred to an enigmatic god “who solves the secrets of the deep”, associated by some Sumerologists with a god of mines. It was as if this enigmatic god had “resonated” with the little explorers.

The Ulmet Stones
Just 50 kilometres from Buzău lies a mythical land shrouded in mystery where the “Babele de la Ulmet” can be admired. The smaller Babele of Bucegi are strangely located on a sandy plateau in a land shrouded in the mystery of the legends of the Luanelor. Over the years, air currents, rain or the hand of God have forged, on the crest of a hill in the Buzioru commune of Buzioru, an extremely strange rock formation made of round stones, as if polished by a master stonemason.
The first geographers who came into contact with these rocks called them “Babele de la Ulmet”, because they look strikingly similar to those in the Bucegi Massif. In the Bozioru area there are many legends about an ancient population of giants, such as the existence of Tara Luana, which was populated by aliens, stories that the old villagers insist on telling you at the stove, if you stay overnight in the village.

The “living stones” of Buzau – “trovantii” – are located in the Bozioru area, about 50 kilometres north-west of Buzau.
For those passionate about nature and eager to discover new landscapes, we have identified a place that can be noted on the list of unique objectives. They are Trovantii in the area of Bozioru, Ulmet commune. We are talking about the so-called “living stones”, with strange shapes.
They are in the “Tara Luana”, after the name of a king who reigned here, or after the name of a girl – Liana – who fell from the sky and who gave the legends of amber from Colti . If we have convinced you, let’s find out more about the Trovanti!
From a scientific point of view, trovanti are agglomerations of pebbles of different sizes, bound together by carbonate cement. The shapes of these “living stones” are very diverse: cylinders, spaceships, ellipses, spheres, etc. Scientists say that they change shape every 1200 years. During this time they grow a few centimetres, from the centre outwards. Although, if we rely on science, this growth is rather inexplicable, because, with the passage of time, and due to natural freeze-thaw phenomena, under the action of water and wind, their shape should decrease due to the erosion process.
We found out how the “local science” explains the existence of these stones! The information is revealed by locals who say that in their area there are these trovanti and that, from their ancestors, they are said to be bringers of good luck and luck, which is why some of them bring these stones into the gates to have a share of indestructibility. In addition, the locals claim that after each rain, they change their shape or small pebbles appear, which feed on sand and, over time, become larger.
One of the local legends says that the Trovantii of Bozioru (Ulmet commune) change their place, which seems amazing and arouses curiosity.
Don’t think that people could move these stones. It is quite impossible, because they are big and heavy stones. The largest trove could be seen on the ridge, and now you can visit it in the Balca Glade. The movement of this “living stone” is like something out of a science fiction movie. It is said that it grew very fast, pulled itself out of the ground with a jump, and then rolled down to the valley. The local who saw this change says there was a howl, which although it frightened him, he didn’t have the strength to run away, so he was able to see and then tell the story to his fellow villagers. Though many did not believe him! The witness of the change says that in the place where the wanderer left, there was a hole in the ground, which could not be seen the next day: grass had already grown there.
Other stories about the Buzau Troubadours refer to aliens. They come and change the place of the Troubadours. Elsewhere, we learn that the trovant in question was moved by the hermits who wanted to work on it, but changed their minds; it was too beautiful!
Location. The village of Bozioru is 50 kilometres north-west of Buzau. To get to Bozioru to visit the trovantii, follow the DN 10 road (Buzau-Patârlagele-Intorsura-Brasov). Shortly after leaving Buzau, turn right at Berca, cross the Buzau River, then follow the county road 203 L, through Cozieni, Ulmet – Bozioru village.

The Troubadours of Ulmet
The most famous of the special stones are called trovans and are found mostly on the hills around the village of Ulmet. They are stones that people say grow like children and are guardians of the passageways to other worlds. Geologists call them grezoic concretions – parts of prehistoric sand deposits, naturally cemented better than the rest of the sand as a kind of sand lump and then uncovered by erosion.
The Fișici Abruptness.
In the past, the village of Fișici was known as a spa destination. People came from far and wide to take advantage of the healing waters here. Even though the resort no longer operates today, you can still find mineral springs with medicinal properties. However, you need to be careful. These waters are due to the presence of petroleum and especially the sulphur associated with the oil fields. Often some of the springs will actually be leaks of water mixed with fuel oil. To differentiate between them, locals call them white-water springs (sulphurous springs, in greenish-white to pinkish-white colours) and dead-water springs (black-water springs). If you want to indulge in living water, you should be prepared for the specific smell of sulphurous water. It’s worth it, because the curative properties of these waters are also recognised in other countries and they are highly prized.
Poiana Cozanei.
Above the village of Nucu, on the water’s edge, after the pile of cliffs that seem to enclose the valley, a wide clearing opens up, grazed by horses and cows. The place seems cut off from the world. Surrounded by rock walls that were erected with the rise of the Carpathians, the glade has been home and place of meditation for countless generations of hermits. But nowhere else in the country have these generations left such a rich and incomprehensible labyrinth of stone-cut huts, churches and refuges. For the hiking enthusiast, the place is perfect. Wide paths meander through the forest, between the rocks and beckon hikers to explore. It’s a place that will surprise any traveller.
