About Buzău County
Buzău County belongs historically and geographically to Wallachia, being located at the crossroads of four major Romanian provinces: Transylvania, Moldova, Muntenia and Dobrogea. The county covers almost the entire catchment area of the Buzău River and has three landforms: to the north, the Buzău Mountains, to the south, the Romanian plain, and in the middle, a region of hills covered with orchards and vineyards.
